A retired Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and attorney, David holds a Juris Doctor (JD) degree and an LLM (Master of Law). His professional background includes extensive experience in healthcare finance, having served as a Chief Financial Officer (CFO). This career-long focus on complex financial management, combined with his legal acumen, ensures that he possesses the exact technical qualifications necessary to manage the county’s investment portfolio, oversee tax collections, and provide the rigorous financial reporting that Mesa County citizens deserve.

As a former Palisade Town Council member and Mayor Pro Tem, he has navigated the complexities of local government firsthand. His leadership roles as President of the Palisade Irrigation Pipes & Laterals and the 5-2-1 Stormwater Authority demonstrate his ability to manage critical infrastructure and collaborate across regional lines.
